Eight terrorists were killed during a joint operation conducted by police and security forces in the Mamozai area of Orakzai District.
According to police, the action was launched on intelligence information about the presence of Khawarij militants in the region. Security personnel surrounded the hideouts and engaged the terrorists in an exchange of fire, resulting in their deaths.
In a separate incident, law enforcement agencies carried out an operation in the Dasht area of Mastung. Police sources said four terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire.
A passer-by was killed, while eight civilians sustained injuries during the Mastung operation, police sources added.
