The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced new management and coaching panels for the national senior, junior, and under-18 teams, following approval from the PHF ad hoc president, it was reported on Tuesday.
According to the federation, Olympian Manzoor-ul-Hassan has been appointed as the head coach of the national senior team. The senior team’s coaching panel also includes Khawaja Junaid, Wasim Ahmed, and Shakeel Abbasi.
For the junior team, Ayaz Mahmood has been named head coach. He will be assisted by Sameer Hussain, Azfar Yaqoob, and Imran Butt as part of the coaching staff.
Meanwhile, Qamar Ibrahim has been appointed head coach of the under-18 team. The youth side’s coaching panel comprises Rehan Butt, Yasir Islam, and Umar Bhatta.
The PHF said the appointments aim to strengthen the national hockey structure and improve performance across all levels of the game.
