Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been featured in TIME Magazine’s prestigious TIME 100 list for 2026, becoming the only Indian film star to make it to this year’s selection of the world’s most influential people.
The annual TIME 100 list recognises global leaders, artists, innovators, and cultural icons who have made a significant impact over the past year.
Kapoor, who has spent nearly two decades in the Indian film industry, is known for acclaimed performances in films such as Rockstar, Barfi!, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Animal. His inclusion highlights his continued influence in shaping modern Indian cinema.
His profile in the magazine was written by fellow actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who praised Kapoor’s ability to go beyond box office success and connect with audiences on a deeper emotional level. Khurrana described him as an actor who does not merely chase legacy but naturally becomes part of it through his craft.
He also noted Kapoor’s role in representing a more nuanced and evolving image of India on the global stage, calling him a cultural bridge between Indian cinema and international audiences.
Kapoor’s recognition places him alongside several global personalities featured in the list this year, including international figures from entertainment, fashion, and technology.
Following the announcement, Kapoor’s wife, actress Alia Bhatt, shared her congratulations on social media, celebrating the milestone achievement.
