Iran seeks peaceful relations, rejects instability: President Pezeshkian

Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran does not seek war or regional instability and remains committed to peace and constructive international engagement. Speaking during a visit to the Red Crescent Society, he emphasized that Iran has consistently promoted dialogue and cooperation with other nations to resolve differences.

He strongly criticized accusations labeling Iran as a sponsor of terrorism, arguing that those making such claims often engage in violent actions themselves. He said these actors carry out targeted killings whenever and wherever they choose, which, in his view, exposes the hypocrisy behind such allegations.

Pezeshkian also condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran, including schools, hospitals, and other public facilities. He stressed that such actions violate international law and fundamental humanitarian principles, leaving no legal or moral justification.

Calling the attacks “shameful,” the Iranian president urged the global community to pay closer attention and respond to these violations. He highlighted the need for accountability and greater international awareness to prevent further harm to civilians.
