The 22nd session of the State Defence Conference was held in Quetta under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, with a focus on strengthening security measures and accelerating development initiatives across the province.
The meeting was attended by the Corps Commander Balochistan, provincial ministers, and other senior civil and military officials. Participants were directed to utilise all available resources to ensure the development and progress of Balochistan.
The conference also reviewed the ongoing process of repatriation of Afghan refugees. Officials were instructed to ensure that the return of refugees is carried out in a dignified and organised manner.
Addressing the participants, Chief Minister Bugti said the forum has emerged as an effective platform for coordinating efforts related to law and order as well as development projects in the province. He emphasised that it is the responsibility of the state to ensure that the benefits of development reach the common people of Balochistan.
During the session, participants paid tribute to the sacrifices of security forces, police personnel, and the people of Balochistan. Special homage was paid to martyred Lady Constable Malik Naz for her bravery and sacrifice.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to work tirelessly for the stability, security, and prosperity of the province, reiterating their resolve to strive for a brighter future for Balochistan.
