Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Saturday to discuss the ongoing regional situation, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Araghchi arrived at the Prime Minister’s House earlier in the day, where both sides held talks focused on recent developments in the region and matters of mutual concern.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar was also present during the meeting. Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir joined the discussion as well.
In a brief statement, the Prime Minister’s Office said that the regional situation was the main focus of the meeting. Further details of the discussion were not immediately shared.
