In a major boost for cricket fans across the country, the government has officially allowed spectators to attend the final of the Pakistan Super League Season 11, ending earlier restrictions on stadium attendance.
The announcement was confirmed after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved a request submitted by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to permit fans into the stadium for the grand finale.

In a statement shared on social media, Mohsin Naqvi revealed that he had formally requested the Prime Minister to allow spectators at the highly anticipated final match. He added that the Prime Minister not only agreed to the proposal but also expressed his personal desire to see fans return to the stadiums for such a major sporting occasion.
According to PCB officials, the decision was warmly welcomed by franchise owners and stakeholders who had also advocated for public attendance, emphasizing the importance of fan engagement in Pakistan’s biggest cricket league.
Naqvi expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for approving the request and also highlighted the government’s ongoing focus on economic discipline and austerity measures.
The decision comes at a time when Pakistan is navigating broader economic pressures, including global oil market instability and regional tensions affecting energy prices. Despite these challenges, authorities have emphasized balancing public enjoyment with responsible financial planning.
The government has already launched a nationwide austerity drive aimed at reducing unnecessary expenditures while maintaining essential public services.
Cricket fans across the country have reacted with excitement to the announcement, with many calling it a welcome relief after a season of uncertainty regarding live attendance.
With the stadium set to open its gates, the PSL 11 final is now expected to deliver a vibrant atmosphere, bringing back the energy of live crowds and marking a celebratory conclusion to the tournament.
