Pakistan’s esports scene received a major boost after 4Thrives claimed the championship title at the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 1, delivering a dominant performance in the tournament’s Grand Finals held in Indonesia.

The Pakistani squad emerged as the best-performing team among the world’s top competitors, finishing at the top of the standings with 122 points. Their remarkable campaign included three Chicken Dinners and an impressive 77 eliminations across the final matches. As champions, 4Thrives secured a prize of $62,500 from the tournament’s overall prize pool of $500,000.

The victory marks a significant milestone for Pakistan’s growing esports industry and highlights the country’s increasing presence on the international competitive gaming stage. The achievement is expected to inspire aspiring gamers and further strengthen Pakistan’s reputation in mobile esports.

Global Competition Draws Top Teams

PMGO 2026 Season 1 featured 32 teams from various regions of the world. Following an intense Group Stage and Survival Stage, the top 16 teams advanced to the Grand Finals, where they battled for the championship title.

The event served as the first major international PUBG Mobile tournament of 2026, attracting elite teams from Asia, Europe, South America, and other regions.

Strong Challenge from International Rivals

Turkey’s ULF Esports finished in second place after collecting 104 points and securing one Chicken Dinner during the finals. The team’s standout player, Kecth222, earned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and was also recognized as the Best In-Game Leader (IGL) for his exceptional leadership and consistency.

Brazilian powerhouse FURIA Esports secured third place with 97 points and two Chicken Dinners, demonstrating strong form throughout the competition.

Meanwhile, Turkish club S2G Esports and Thailand’s EArena shared fourth and fifth positions, respectively, after both teams accumulated 83 points over the 12-match Grand Finals series.

TT Project finished sixth with 77 points, while GOAT Team and Aurora Gaming ended seventh and eighth with 75 and 73 points. Indonesia’s BOOM Esports and Vietnam’s Team Flash rounded out the top ten with 71 and 69 points, respectively.

Pakistan to Host PMGO 2026 Season 2

In another major development for the country’s esports community, PUBG Mobile officials have announced that PMGO 2026 Season 2 will be hosted in Pakistan in October. The decision is being viewed as a significant recognition of Pakistan’s growing influence in competitive gaming and is expected to attract international teams, fans, and industry stakeholders to the country.
