The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Cell has imposed a fine of Rs1.5 million on crew members of a ship, namely MT-ASNA, for committing serious irregularities in documents, it was reported on Tuesday.
During checking, the FIA found two Yemeni crew members with expired Seamen Books, and one Egyptian citizen was found with an irrelevant Seamen Book.
The master of the ship failed to show the relevant documents. Later, the master admitted his mistake and promised not to repeat the same in the future.
The Federal Investigation Agency will continue to take effective measures for the implementation of immigration laws.
