Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed has climbed to second place in the latest ICC Men’s T20 International bowling rankings, marking a significant achievement in his international career, it was reported on Thursday.
According to the updated rankings released by the International Cricket Council, Abrar moved up one position to reach second place with 736 rating points, overtaking India’s Varun Chakravarthy.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to lead the rankings with 753 rating points, maintaining his position as the world’s top-ranked T20I bowler.
Among other Pakistani bowlers, Mohammad Nawaz is ranked 12th, while fast bowler Salman Mirza occupies 20th place. Left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi remains in 30th position.
In the batting rankings, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan retained third place with 848 rating points, continuing his strong presence among the leading T20I batters.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Saim Ayub held on to third place in the ICC Men’s T20I all-rounders’ rankings.
The all-rounders’ list continues to be headed by Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza, with India’s Hardik Pandya occupying second place.
The latest rankings underline Pakistan’s strong representation across multiple categories in international T20 cricket, with several players maintaining positions among the world’s leading performers.
