KP CM says jail reforms should be started from Adiala, seeks justice for Imran Khan

Khyber Paktunkhawa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has demanded better facilities for PTI founder Imran Khan who was completing his term in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi, it was reported on Thursday.

Addressing a moot in Supreme Court of Pakistan on jail reforms, CM Afridi said that waiting area should be built for visitors at Adiala Jail.

He demanded that jail reforms should be started from Adiala. Talking about Imran khan, CM Afridi said that health condition of Imran Khan was deteriorating, adding that PTI founder was put behind the bar in fake cases.

Sohail Afridi said that Imran Khan should be given permission for medical treatment from his personal physicians.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM said that in democratic societies, public is given permission for public rallies but in Pakistan an FIR is registered if a public rally is held.

He lamented that terrorism FIRs have been registered against young children for attending rallies.

CM Afridi demanded that PTI founder should be allowed to speak with his sons via video link.

Sohail Afridi requested the CJP that “If a meeting cannot be arranged, water cannons should not be used against Imran Khan’s sisters”.
