Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday launched the InvestPak Portal, calling it a major step towards promoting investment and strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the finance minister congratulated the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan and everyone involved in developing the platform. He said the launch of the InvestPak Portal marks the beginning of a new era for investment in the country.
Aurangzeb said the government is committed to creating a business-friendly environment by introducing modern digital solutions that simplify the investment process. He added that the new portal will provide local and international investors with services that meet global standards, making investment procedures more efficient, transparent, and accessible.
The finance minister noted that investor participation in the Pakistan Stock Exchange has increased in recent months, reflecting growing confidence in the country’s financial markets. He said the government aims to build on this momentum by expanding investment opportunities through digital platforms.
He said special attention has been given to encouraging young people, particularly Generation Z, to take part in investment activities. According to Aurangzeb, improving financial literacy and increasing access to investment opportunities among the youth will contribute to long-term economic growth.
Aurangzeb described the InvestPak Portal as an important milestone in Pakistan’s digital transformation. He said technology-driven initiatives are essential for improving the ease of doing business and attracting greater domestic and foreign investment.
The finance minister emphasized that the private sector remains the key driver of economic development. He said sustainable growth cannot be achieved without active participation from businesses and investors, adding that the new portal will help speed up investment decisions and create new economic opportunities across different sectors.
