PCB allows Fatima Sana to join Women’s Hundred after Sri Lanka ODI series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has granted national women’s team captain Fatima Sana permission to participate in England’s Women’s Hundred tournament, it was reported on Tuesday.

According to the PCB, Fatima Sana will represent Pakistan in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, which is part of the ICC Women’s Championship.

However, she will miss the subsequent T20 International series to fulfil her commitments in The Hundred.

After the ODI series concludes on July 28, the 24-year-old all-rounder will travel directly from Hambantota to England, where she will join Birmingham Phoenix for the remainder of the Women’s Hundred tournament.

Fatima Sana made history last month by becoming the first Pakistani woman cricketer to be picked by a franchise in The Hundred.

The young all-rounder also impressed during the recent Women’s T20 World Cup, delivering outstanding performances with both bat and ball.
