People of Leepa Valley turn blind eye to JAAC’s call for strike

The call for a strike given by the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), a banned organization, has had a little effect on the people of Leepa Valley who have said they stand by Pakistan, it was reported on Thursday.

A majority of them have said that they don’t want to become part of the JAAC’s confrontational politics.

A citizen said that most of the shops in Leepa Valley are open and traffic is plying on roads as per routine.

He has said that the people of the valley believe that Pakistan is theirs.

He has said that neither he and others had become part of the politics of violence in the past nor will they become in the future.

The citizen has said that the reason for boycotting the JAAC’s strike call is that it causes colossal damage to people’s businesses and thus the area’s economy suffers.
