Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal on Thursday met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to discuss the country’s political situation and the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.
Mengal, accompanied by a delegation, visited the residence of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, where the two leaders held detailed talks on issues of national importance.
According to JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri, the meeting focused on the prevailing political landscape as well as the security situation in Balochistan. Both leaders expressed deep concern over the worsening law and order conditions in the province.
The two sides agreed that the current security situation was not encouraging for the future of the country and the nation. They expressed the view that Pakistan’s economy and law and order had suffered significantly under what they described as the existing “hybrid system.”
The meeting was attended by JUI-F leaders Aslam Ghauri, Senator Kamran Murtaza, Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi and Maulana Obaidur Rehman.
The leaders reaffirmed the need for addressing political and security challenges through dialogue and constitutional means to ensure stability and national progress.
