LAHORE: A sessions court on Saturday sought arguments on a request by the PTI founder’s legal team for permission to meet him in jail during proceedings in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s defamation suit.
During the hearing, an associate lawyer representing the PTI founder told the court that the senior counsel was engaged in proceedings before a court in Karachi and requested that the application regarding a jail meeting be taken up.
The court accepted the request and directed both parties to present arguments on the miscellaneous application by July 22.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has filed a defamation suit against the Imran Khan, which remains pending before the court.
