LAHORE: Monsoon rains continued across Lahore for the sixth consecutive day, with showers recorded in various parts of the provincial capital.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the city received an average of 70.5 millimetres of rainfall, while the highest rainfall of 142.8 millimetres was recorded in the Saggian area.
Rainfall data showed 141.2 millimetres in Farrukhabad, 129 millimetres at Pani Wala Talab, 105.6 millimetres at Upper Mall, 94.4 millimetres at Lakshmi Chowk, 90 millimetres at Chowk Nakhuda, 89.2 millimetres at the Gulberg Head Office and 84 millimetres in Samanabad.
Other recorded rainfall included 77.6 millimetres in Gulshan Ravi, 70 millimetres in Nishtar Town, 66 millimetres in Kahna, 64.7 millimetres on Jail Road, 63 millimetres in Johar Town, 58.2 millimetres in Shadipura, 54.4 millimetres in Tajpura, 52.4 millimetres in Mughalpura, 47.4 millimetres in Iqbal Town, 29.4 millimetres in Manawan and 28.2 millimetres at Lahore Airport.
The Meteorological Department said Defence Road recorded the lowest rainfall in the city, with 9.6 millimetres.
