The Sindh government has increased the monthly conveyance allowance for government employees by 50%, fulfilling a commitment made in the provincial budget for the fiscal year 2026–27, it was reported on Monday.
The Sindh Finance Department has issued an official notification implementing the increase for employees across all pay scales.
Under the revised rates, employees in Grades 1 to 4 will receive a monthly conveyance allowance of Rs2,678, up from Rs1,785.
Employees in Grades 5 to 10 will now receive Rs2,898 per month, compared with the previous Rs1,932.
For employees in Grades 11 to 15, the monthly allowance has been increased from Rs2,856 to Rs4,284.
Meanwhile, employees in Grade 16 and above will receive Rs7,500 per month, up from the previous Rs5,000.
The 50% increase in the conveyance allowance was announced in the Sindh government’s 2026–27 budget as part of measures aimed at providing financial relief to public sector employees. With the issuance of the Finance Department’s notification, the revised allowance has now been formally implemented.
The new rates will be applicable from 1 July 2026, according to the notification.
