The Government of Punjab (GoP) on Monday announced a public holiday on August 4, 2026, (Tuesday-tomorrow) on account of the annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh (RA) in Lahore.
The offices of the district administration and other institutions falling under the jurisdiction of the deputy commissioner will remain closed.
The public holiday will not be allowed in the Punjab Civil Secretariat, autonomous bodies and regional offices.
The Department of Services and District Administration (S&GAD) has already issued a notification in this regard.
