Saudi cabinet urges talks to end Iran-US war

RIYADH: The Saudi cabinet has called for a resolution to the Iran-US war through negotiations, stressing that dialogue is essential to ending the conflict.

The cabinet meeting, chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, emphasised the need to reduce tensions across the region.

According to Saudi media, the cabinet said resolving the Iran-US war through negotiations is imperative.

The cabinet also welcomed what it described as the historic agreement on ending hostilities in Gaza and praised the roles of Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, the United States and other mediating countries in securing the Gaza peace agreement.

Saudi media reported that the cabinet further welcomed the establishment of the Saudi-led multinational maritime defence alliance and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding maritime navigation in the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden.
