ISLAMABAD: Gold prices extended their upward trend on Friday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising sharply in both domestic and international markets, taking the three-day increase in Pakistan to Rs26,400 per tola.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs5,100 per tola, pushing the rate to Rs454,336 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also climbed by Rs4,372 to reach Rs389,519.
Over the previous two trading sessions, gold prices had already surged by Rs21,300 per tola, bringing the cumulative increase over the last three days to Rs26,400 per tola.
Meanwhile, the price of silver rose by Rs280 per tola to Rs6,939 in the local market.
In the international market, gold prices gained $51 per ounce, reaching $4,319 per ounce.
