ISLAMABAD: Indian media has acknowledged the potential defence benefits for Pakistan from the growing defence cooperation among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
India Today described the Pakistan-Saudi-Türkiye defence agreement as a significant development for Pakistan, saying defence integration, joint military exercises and technology transfers could enhance the country’s defence capabilities.
According to the Indian outlet, intelligence sharing and joint defence production could further strengthen Pakistan’s military preparedness, while expanded cooperation could facilitate Pakistan’s access to Türkiye’s advanced drone technology and electronic warfare capabilities.
The Indian media report further said Saudi Arabia’s financial resources combined with Türkiye’s defence technology could serve Pakistan’s key strategic interests.
Defence experts said Türkiye’s advanced technology, Saudi Arabia’s financial resources and Pakistan’s operational capabilities could together create an effective defence combination.
Experts added that the expanding scope of Pakistan-Saudi-Türkiye defence cooperation could pose a new strategic challenge for India.
The acknowledgement by Indian media of the agreement’s potential defence benefits highlights the growing strategic significance of trilateral cooperation.
