The Hajj 2027 arrangements have been fully digitized to make the application and payment process easier and more convenient for intending pilgrims.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said under the new system pilgrims will be able to submit their Hajj applications from home, helping them avoid long queues and unnecessary waiting at banks and registration centers.
Up to 400,000 registered intending pilgrims will be able to submit their applications through the digital system, the minister said and added the facility is aimed at making the Hajj registration process faster, more transparent and convenient.
Sardar Yousuf said pilgrims will also be able to complete their payments within minutes from home through the Pak Hajj app, eliminating the need to visit a bank for the payment process.
Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has been designated as the authorized banking partner of the Ministry of Religious Affairs for Hajj 2027. The bank will facilitate pilgrims in completing the financial requirements of the Hajj application process.
Under the Hajj package announced for 2027, the 40-day long Hajj scheme will cost Rs1.2 million, while the 20- to 25-day short Hajj scheme will cost Rs1.3 million, the minister said.
The complete digitization of the Hajj process is expected to provide intending pilgrims with a more convenient registration experience and reduce the difficulties associated with traditional, in-person applications.
