Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has lauded the Islamabad administration, police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) for providing foolproof security to the citizens on the occasion of “City Parade” held in connection with Independence Day celebrations at D-Chowk, it was reported on Saturday.
Interior Minister said the Islamabad City Parade was aimed at bringing citizens together in the joy of Independence Day while showcasing Pakistan’s rich national culture and unity.
Later, the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with members of City Parade’s management individually and thanked them and the residents of Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that after 12 years, Independence Day was celebrated at D-Chowk in Islamabad.
He said that the Under-19 team played a special role in ensuring foolproof security and making the City Parade a success.
Mohsin Naqvi said that he congratulated all officials and other personnel for making the City Parade a successful event.
He said that residents of Islamabad enjoyed themselves a lot during the City Parade and they showed exemplary discipline during the event. The citizens proved that Pakistanis are a vibrant nation.
