PIA plans to add Boeing 787 Dreamliners to fleet

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to add sixteen Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to its fleet as part of a major expansion of its air operations, it was reported on Saturday.

According to officials, PIA plans to induct 16 aircraft into its fleet this year, with the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner expected to be purchased next month.

Officials said the national airline plans to acquire around 64 Boeing 787 aircraft over the next eight years as part of its long-term fleet expansion strategy.

The aircraft will be purchased from the United States, officials said.

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner is estimated to cost between $248 million and $355 million, depending on the model and configuration.
