Shaheen Afridi 7/36 leads Pakistan Gold to National Champions Cup glory

Pakistan Gold won the National Champions Cup after defeating Pakistan Greens by 101 runs in the final at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan Gold posted 340 all out from the final ball of their innings, with Saad Khan and Shamyl Hussain scoring brilliant centuries.

Saad Khan made 112 off 102 balls, hitting 11 fours and four sixes, while Shamil Hussain scored 111 off 93 balls to give Pakistan Gold a strong total.

 

In reply, Pakistan Greens were bowled out for 239 in 38 overs.

The leading scorers were Saad Baig, who made 67, and Umair Yousuf, who scored 44.

 

Pakistan Gold captain Shaheen Shah Afridi produced a sensational bowling performance, taking seven wickets for 36 runs, including a hat-trick, to destroy the Pakistan Greens batting line-up.

 

Razaullah, Mubasir Khan and Faisal Akram took one wicket each, while Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah claimed two wickets apiece for Pakistan Greens.

Shaheen’s outstanding all-round leadership and the centuries from Saad Khan and Shamyl Hussain secured Pakistan Gold a convincing 101-run victory and the Champions Cup title.
