The Balochistan government has announced cash rewards for information leading to the identification or whereabouts of nine highly wanted female militants.
According to Babar Yousafzai, Adviser to the Interior Minister on Media Affairs, informants will be offered rewards ranging from Rs1 million to Rs1.5 million for providing credible information about the wanted women.
Yousafzai said the identities of people providing information would be kept strictly confidential to ensure their safety.
He said the wanted women are associated with Gwadar, Jiwani and Turbat. The provincial government has declared them highly wanted and appealed to citizens to provide any information that could assist authorities in locating them.
The announcement comes as authorities in Balochistan intensify efforts against militant networks operating in the province.
Yousafzai urged members of the public who have information about the wanted women to come forward and cooperate with law-enforcement agencies. He reiterated that the government would protect the identity of informants.
The Balochistan government has also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
The announcement is part of broader security measures aimed at identifying and apprehending individuals allegedly involved in militant activities in the province.
