RAWALPINDI: France’s secretary-general for defence and national security, accompanied by the French ambassador to Pakistan, visited General Headquarters in Rawalpindi and met Field Marshal Asim Munir, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, along with regional security and bilateral cooperation in defence and security.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with France and expanding cooperation in defence and security.
French Secretary-General Nicolas Roche acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability, ISPR said.
The French official also reiterated France’s interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan in areas of mutual interest, according to the military’s media wing.
