LAHORE: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore has summoned Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Rizwan again in connection with a cybercrime inquiry, issuing him a second notice to appear before the agency on October 2.
According to the notice, Rizwan has been directed to appear at the NCCIA Lahore office at 3:00 pm on October 2.
The notice states that in case of non-appearance, it will be considered that the accused has nothing to present in his defence. It further warns that failure to comply with the notice may lead to legal action.
The development comes as the NCCIA inquiry involving Rizwan continues. The Lahore High Court has directed the cricketer to join and cooperate with the inquiry while instructing the agency to conduct the proceedings in accordance with the law.
