ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has stressed that bringing police officers’ training in line with modern requirements is essential to further improve the standards of the police force.
Naqvi made the remarks during a visit to the National Police Academy, where he inspected ongoing development and upgradation projects and reviewed progress on the academy’s improvement plans.
The interior minister also visited model rooms prepared for trainee officers. He chaired a meeting during the visit to assess progress on various upgradation projects at the academy.
Naqvi directed that the conference room and auditorium be reconstructed and instructed officials to ensure that all projects are completed within the निर्धारित timelines, with proper planning and high standards.
He said the Minister of State for Interior was reviewing the academy’s upgradation projects on a daily basis.
The interior minister also directed officials to provide trainee officers with modern training equipment similar to that used by SWAT teams. He further called for the hiring of highly qualified and experienced faculty for the Mid-Career Management Course.
The meeting also decided to recommend the inclusion of modern modules on digital policing and artificial intelligence in the MCMC curriculum.
Naqvi said police officers’ training must be aligned with the requirements of the modern era to further improve the quality of the police force.
The Commandant of the National Police Academy, officials from the Capital Development Authority and other relevant authorities were also present during the visit.
