SNGPL cuts LNG price by Rs1,000 per MMBtu

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a decrease in the price of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by Rs1,000 per MMBtu for domestic and commercial consumers, it was reported on Tuesday.

The drop in prices is likely to lead to lower bills for LNG-based connections within the company. The price of LNG has decreased by Rs 1,000 per MMBtu.

Sources state that the billing rate for LNG consumers has been set at Rs 4,200 for the current month.

Last month, the price of LNG was fixed at Rs 5,200. Tensions between Iran and the US had disrupted LNG imports.

The disruption in LNG imports led to a record surge in prices. The price hike resulted in consumers receiving hefty bills for their LNG connections.

The reduction in price this month will lead to lower bills for consumers.
