KSE-100 gains 779 points as bullish trend lifts Pakistan Stock Exchange

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 779 points amid a positive trading trend.
The index rose by 881 points during early trading, crossing the 166,000-point mark before easing slightly as the session progressed.
At the close of business, the benchmark settled at 165,930 points, up 779 points from the previous session’s closing level of 165,151 points.
Trading activity amounted to 130.24 million shares, valued at approximately Rs10.42 billion, reflecting substantial participation in the market.
The positive session followed a decline on Tuesday, when the KSE-100 Index shed 814 points amid selling pressure.
Wednesday’s recovery helped the benchmark regain much of the previous session’s losses, although the sustainability of the upward momentum will depend on investor sentiment and broader market developments.
