RAWALPINDI: Pakistan successfully conducted a flight test of its first indigenously developed Fa’az air-to-air missile, marking a milestone in the country’s aerospace and defence capabilities, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Tuesday.
The military’s media wing said the missile was equipped with an advanced terminal guidance system capable of engaging enemy aerial targets at longer ranges.

The Fa’az missile will enhance the operational flexibility of the Pakistan Air Force and strengthen the country’s overall defence capabilities, the ISPR said.
It said the successful flight test demonstrated the technical maturity, innovation and self-reliance achieved by Pakistan’s defence industry.
The test was witnessed by senior officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces, along with scientists and engineers involved in developing the missile system.
The president, prime minister, chief of army staff and chief of defence forces (COAS and CDF), and services chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful test.
