Singer Ali Zafar is channeling his inner Korean pop star look in his latest social media update.
Turning to his Instagram on Saturday, the Rockstar hitmaker shared his all-new look donning ripped jeans and a printed black jacket.
What really surprised fans about the 41-year-old’s new look was his platinum purple hair. “K-Pop in Pakistan? #comingsoon #GameBunGayi” the star teased fans in one of the photos. “On set- Get-set-go !” he wrote alongside another photo.
What is K-pop?
K-Pop is pop music from South Korea. It incorporates such Western pop music elements into Korean traditions as hip-hop and rock and often includes dance routines and songs in Korean dialects adjacent to English.
K-pop is performed exclusively by boys’ and girls’ groups.
Among the boys’ groups, there is a group called BTS in South Korea which has a big fan club with fans all over the world and it is popular on the internet.
BTS is a seven-member boys’ group formed by Big Hit Entertainment in Seoul. They debuted with the song “No More Dream” in 2013, and since then BTS has sold millions of albums, performed in sold-out stadiums around the world and changed the perception around K-Pop.
The term “K-pop” has been popularized by the English-language media over the past few decades and is commonly used not only to refer to South Korean pop music but also to the particularly young, multi-faceted.
