Karachi: The exchange rate of the US Dollar strengthened by 41 paise in the interbank on Thursday against the Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs167.66 on the fourth business day of the week compared to the previous closing of Rs167.25.
Meanwhile, the price of the euro appreciated by 48 paise and closed at Rs198.29 against the last working day’s trading of Rs197.81 the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.53, whereas an increase of Rs1.28 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs231.38 as compared to its last closing of Rs230.1.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal appreciated by about 11 paise each to close at Rs45.64 and Rs44.70 respectively.
