KARACHI: Sindh Sports Department has officially announced the schedule and venues for the National Games 2025. After 18 years, Pakistan’s biggest sporting event will take place in Karachi from May 1 to May 9.
Sindh’s Minister for Sports, Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar, revealed that the games will feature competitions in 34 sports across 21 venues, with participation from over 10,000 athletes from across the country.
According to officials, the opening and closing ceremonies of the National Games will be held at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium in Karachi. The minister also stated that the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan will be invited to attend these ceremonies.
The event marks a major step toward the revival of sports in Pakistan and will play a key role in rejuvenating Karachi’s sports scene.
