LAHORE: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar blames past policy failures for damaging the country’s industrial sector.
During his visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday, Akhtar remarked that the prime minister was well aware of the challenges faced by the business community and assured that effective solutions would soon be provided.
He emphasised that the government was taking concrete steps to support traders.
Akhtar highlighted that foreign investment was flowing into Pakistan due to the government’s initiatives, while the policy rate had also been significantly reduced. However, he stressed the need for formulating and implementing long-term policies to ensure sustainable economic growth.
