Gold prices witnessed an extraordinary decline both in Pakistan and the international market, with rates falling by $104 per ounce globally and by Rs10,400 per tola in the local market.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa and Jewellers Association, the price of gold in the international market dropped by $104 per ounce, bringing the new rate down to $3,221.
Following the global trend, domestic gold prices in Pakistan also saw a significant decrease. The price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs10,400 per tola to Rs340,500, while the price of 10 grams dropped by Rs8,917, now standing at Rs291,923.
Silver prices also experienced a slight dip. The rate for one tola of silver decreased by Rs17 to Rs3,400, and the international price of silver declined by $0.17, settling at $32.18 per ounce.
