Extremist Kangana Ranaut slammed over anti-Trump tweet, deletes later

Bollywood actress and newly elected BJP Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut has once again ignited controversy—this time for targeting former U.S. President Donald Trump in a now-deleted social media post.

Known for her outspoken political views and often provocative remarks, Kangana posted on X (formerly Twitter), comparing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Trump in a way that backfired spectacularly. In her post, she wrote, “Trump is jealous of Modi,” adding that although Trump served as U.S. President, Modi remains the most admired global leader.

She further stated, “This was Trump’s second term, while Modi is serving his third. If Trump is an alpha male, Modi is the father of alpha males.”

The post, meant as praise for Modi, caused a stir on social media and created discomfort within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) itself. According to reports, party leadership was quick to intervene, instructing Kangana to remove the post due to its controversial tone and potential diplomatic implications.

Later, Kangana admitted that she received a direct phone call from BJP President JP Nadda, asking her to delete the post. She complied and later offered a clarification.

In a follow-up post, she claimed that her intention was not to insult Trump but to highlight his stance against Apple manufacturing in India, referencing his recent remarks to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

This incident highlights once again how Kangana’s unfiltered and bold public statements can spark political turbulence—not only drawing criticism from the public but also putting her own party in an awkward position.

While Kangana continues to be a powerful voice both in Bollywood and politics, her latest misstep underscores the challenges of balancing public influence with political responsibility.
