Iftikhar joins Warriors as temporary replacement for Hassan

Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed has joined the Guyana Amazon Warriors as the temporary replacement for Hassan Khan in the forthcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Ahmed, who is known for his swashbuckling batting skills, will have a short stint for the Warriors. The CPL has made this announcement on X (formerly Twitter).

 

“The powerful batter will suit up for the Guyana Amazon Warriors as a temporary replacement for Hassan Khan, who will miss their first three games,” the Warriors added.

Earlier on Wednesday, Australian wicket-keeper batter Ben McDermott has joined the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the forthcoming edition of the Carribean Premier League (CPL).

According to details surfaced, the Warriors have picked up McDermott as the replacement for New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips, who was facing injury.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the CPL management have welcomed the 30-year-old wicketkeeper, who plays for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL). “The Australian wicket-keeper batter joins the Guyana Amazon Warriors as a replacement for the injured Glenn Phillips,” said an official statement.
