LAHORE: Pakistan’s star athlete Arshad Nadeem has been ruled out of the upcoming Diamond League due to fitness concerns. His doctor has advised him not to participate in the event.
Arshad is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program in England, where he has begun putting weight on his injured leg.
The surgery was performed by Dr Ali Sher Bajwa in Cambridge, UK, and his recovery is being monitored there.
According to doctors, Arshad’s latest injury is new and of a serious nature. His participation in the World Athletics Championship will also depend on the completion of his rehabilitation process.
The final decision will be made once his recovery is complete.
Despite the setback, the gold medalist remains hopeful for a swift and full recovery.
