ISLAMABAD: Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court while hearing a case related to the implementation of a court order, remarked that the judiciary is part of the corruption, and added, “I know very well which of our judges are corrupt.”
Justice Kayani expressed anger over failure in implementation of a court decision regarding a land transaction in Islamabad, criticizing the estate council and district administration. He stated, “I know exactly how money is collected within institutions. I know which of our judges are corrupt. If they had the authority, they would legalize bribery.”
He remarked, “The courts themselves are part of the corruption. Despite three court orders, the payment hasn’t been made. Why are the Deputy Commissioner and Chief Commissioner not ensuring compliance? The Deputy Commissioner is part of this system, and I know everything that goes on throughout the day.”
The judge continued, “I can summon the Chief Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner to court and teach them the law in two minutes. If my order is not implemented by the next hearing, both officials must appear in court.”
The court adjourned the hearing until Monday, instructing authorities to implement its orders in the meantime.
