Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Wednesday issued a notification to fix Rs40,000 as minimum wage of workers employed in all industrial and economic zones across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The implementation of the new wages has already started on July 1, 2025. The minimum wage is fixed at Rs1538.46 per day.
No owner of any industrial unit will appoint labour below this amount. Apart from the fixed wage, other facilities will also be provided to employees.
The other facilities include house rent, pension, medical facilities, bonus, and insurance. The minimum wage will also be applied to women and transgender persons.
