Jannat Mirza has dropped a clip promoting Iftikhar Thakur’s comedy night in Faisalabad.
Taking to her handle, Jannat urged fans to rush for tickets to the show at the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium. While her star power was enough to whip up frenzy, she also tagged @velopakistani and @eikon7group in the story.
VELO, a global nicotine pouch brand, has been making inroads into Pakistan’s pop culture by sponsoring concerts, comedy nights, and lifestyle events. Wrapped in music and fashion glamour, the brand’s campaigns have faced criticism for allegedly masking nicotine promotion under the guise of “youth entertainment.”
Whether Jannat’s involvement is part of a paid collaboration or simply unpaid enthusiasm is unclear, yet her alignment with VELO hints at corporate fingerprints on the campaign.
Eikon7group, an events and promotions outfit, amplified the hype by sharing a clip of Iftikhar Thakur himself.
“Faisalabad, get ready! I’m bringing a night full of laughter on September 20,” the caption read, framing the show as pure entertainment.

The timing of Jannat’s post is also interesting. It comes right after she grabbed massive attention with her birthday celebrations amid a real age controversy. But Jannat, as always, laughed it off.
Jannat said she turned 24, but Google search results continued to list her as 28.
This isn’t the first time Jannat Mirza has sparked online conversations.
The TikTok star often finds herself in the limelight, whether it’s speculation about her marriage plans or backlash over her religious journey.

Earlier this year, she faced criticism after posting a video from her Hajj trip.
The clip, filmed on a Saudi Airlines flight, showed what appeared to be an empty plane.
While Jannat captioned it “We had the whole plane to ourselves,” many questioned whether it was appropriate to flaunt luxury during a spiritual journey.
Jannat later clarified that she had seen such an empty flight only during the COVID-19 era, though she did not confirm if the family had booked the aircraft privately.
