The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has decided to once again interrogate Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan over the case of his active social media platform X account, despite his confinement in Adiala Jail.
This time, officials said the questioning will be conducted based on written responses provided by the PTI founder.
According to sources, the NCCIA had earlier handed over a detailed 21-point questionnaire to the PTI founder. The agency is now set to examine his written answers to determine how his personal X (formerly Twitter) account continues to operate from outside the prison.
The central line of inquiry includes:
-
How is the PTI founder’s X account active despite imprisonment?
-
Who operates the account and from where?
-
Does the founder acknowledge and approve posts published under his name?
-
Are controversial or anti-national posts being made with his consent?
Previous interactions with investigators
Sources reveal that the NCCIA investigation team has already met the PTI founder twice inside Adiala Jail. However, both meetings reportedly ended without cooperation from the imprisoned leader.
During the second session, a heated exchange was said to have taken place between the PTI founder and the investigators, further complicating the inquiry. Owing to this lack of cooperation, the agency opted to hand over a written questionnaire to secure more formal responses.
