Alizeh Shah and Romaisa Khan bashed Adnan Siddiqui’s Tamasha for glorifying bullying and degrading contestants.
Taking to their Instagram stories, both the actresses showed concerns for the contestants of the Big Brother inspired reality TV show Tamasha. They blamed the producers for starving the contestants of dignity, and forcing them into humiliation.
Alizeh Shah also mentioned Humaira Asghar, who was also a contestant in the first season, highlighting that she was bullied and humiliated by the other participants, the judges and the producers.
Romaisa detested the show saying it is ‘straight stupid’ as the participants have to even eat on timers and then get scolded too.
Shah said, “Tamasha house? More like torture house.”
Continuing the bashing, she said, “The producers should honestly be ashamed this is being watched worldwide, and we’re out here glorifying bullying.”
“Setting timers on food, humiliating people on national TV… what even is this? I’m seriously questioning the contestants self-respect for signing up for something so degrading…”, she added.
“Remember Humaira Asghar ?? The same girl who was bullied and humiliated by the contestants, and later passed away alone in her own apartment.
No one even cared to ask what she went through mentally after that show.” Shah said.
Showing disgust over how abnormal it is, she said, “Here we are again! The second show… Once more, contestants are being degraded, tormented, starved of dignity, and forced into humiliation… All while judges and producers stand by, approving it as if this is acceptable.
And I genuinely don’t understand how we, as a society, can watch this like it’s normal?!?!”
Romaisa, seconded Shah’s statements saying, “I am still confused k yeh Bigbrothers se hi inspired hai? Yeh personality ka show kam survivor show zada lagta hai! I mean?? Paisa tou saray kaatdiye na paisay milte na khana milraha Raashan task luck walay games??
This is straight stupid Timer per becharay khana thoosrahe hain! its so sad to even watch!
Phir daantein bhi suno bhai?”
