We will deal with whoever comes with weapons: Mohsin Naqvi

Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi on Tuesday visited the Sindh Governor’s House in Karachi and met senior leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).

At a meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Naqvi discussed matters of mutual interest and later planted a sapling at Governor’s House.

Later, he held a press conference at Governor’s House along with Governor Tessori and MQM-P leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Syed Aminul Haq and Dr. Farooq Sattar.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Tessori said, “I welcome Mohsin Naqvi to Governor’s House. I appreciate his moderate attitude. He is the interior minister of Pakistan as well as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board. He should tell this to the Pakistani cricket team as well that he is the interior minister of Pakistan.

The governor said that Naqvi practices positive politics of reconciliation.

Speaking on the occasion, Naqvi said, “We are fighting a war against terrorism and we need to forge unity. The country is moving forward in a positive direction in every respect.”

Siddiqui said Naqvi is carrying out a very important mission. He said, “We will continue to play our role for democracy in Pakistan.

Naqvi said that he met Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman today and had a detailed discussion as a campaign had been launched against the federal government on social media. If there is any armed group, action will be taken against it.

Speaking to the media later, Naqvi said it was being said on social media that the federal government was working against a particular organization. “We respect all scholars, but we will deal with whoever comes with weapons. You will come to know that action is being taken against them.”
