An agreement was signed between Chief Commissioner Islamabad and the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) on Wednesday under which the system of e-stamp paper would be introduced in Islamabad as well, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The new system will replace traditional stamp papers.
Under the system, all record will go straight to the PLRA and people will get rid of fake stamp papers.
The e-stamp will improve public service delivery by reducing the issues confronting the masses.
The Authority will also assist in digitalizing Islamabad’s land record, which will facilitate people in the sale and purchase of properties as well as their transfers.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that the digitalization of the federal capital’s land record and the facility of e-stamps was as per the vision of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
