Arrest warrants issued for PTI’s Sheikh Waqas Akram

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram in Sangjani rally case besides ordering blocking the passports of other party leaders Zartaj Gul and Omar Ayub, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court also ordered that a report be submitted after blocking of the passports.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case.

Later, the court adjourned the case’s hearing until December 3.

A month ago, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad had issued arrest warrants for three PTI leaders — Omar Ayub, Sheikh Waqas Akram, and Zartaj Gul — in connection with the Sangjani rally case.

The court has ordered the relevant authorities to arrest and produce the three leaders before the court.
