Mahira Khan has come to Saba Qamar’s defence over the latter’s statement about Karachi.
She said people have misunderstood the statement of Saba Qamar and rushed to their judgments.
She said Sindh’s capital is like a ‘mother’ which opens her arms and welcomes everyone.
While talking to the media at a recent event, Khan shared her thoughts about Karachi and expressed support for Saba Qamar without naming her directly.
Journalists asked her what she thought about Karachi, noting that some people do not even want to come to the city.
In response, the ‘Raees; actor said Karachi is her city and home. Her ancestors were from there, and her grandmother’s house is also in Karachi.
According to her, she was born and raised in Karachi. She loves the city, and everyone loves their own city because their grandparents’ homes are there, and their memories are connected to it.
Khan said that if she were asked what Karachi means to her, she would say it is like a ‘mother’ who opens her arms to welcome everyone.
Without naming Saba Qamar, Khan said the actor’s statement was misunderstood.
